Our approach to compensation encourages staff to become passionate, long-term contributors to the DCP learning environment.

Beyond competitive salaries, DCP offers comprehensive benefits options to our employees and their families, professional development and growth opportunities, and a positive work culture.

Many of these benefits are paid for in whole or in part by Downtown College Prep. Other benefits are offered as voluntary options to be paid by you through the convenience of payroll deductions.

  • Health Insurance

    DCP offers various medical plans with unique benefit features. Dental and vision benefits are offered with a basic plan design and enhanced plan options.

  • Basic Life and AD&D Insurance

    Life insurance benefit equal to 1 x your annual basic earnings rounded to the nearest $1,000, maximum $200,000. AD&D benefit equal to the amount of life insurance in force to you.

  • Disability

    Short term and long term disability benefits offered with weekly and monthly maximums. Short term elimination period of 7 days and long term elimination period of 180 days. Benefits extend until age 65.

  • Flex Spending

    You can elect to set aside pre-tax dollars up to the maximum limits to pay for eligible expenses. Maximum annual contribution of $2,600 for Healthcare FSA and $5,000 for Dependent Care FSA. $255/month for transit and $255/month for parking. These amounts are subject to change annually per IRS.

  • Retirement

    DCP participates in the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS ) and the California Public Employees’Retirement System (CalPERS). In addition, we offer voluntary 403b and 457b plans.

  • Employee Assistance Program

    The EAP (Employee Assistance Program) is a resource and referral service designed to help you and your family with your personal, job or family situations. It is free, voluntary and strictly confidential. The EAP is available 24/7 and offers face-to-face sessions and telephonic or web video consultations.
