Kathryn Hanson

Kathryn Hanson has served as a board member on several for-profit companies as well as on boards for several non-profit companies in the education space, including ALearn and RAFT.  She has over 25 years of executive management and consulting experience in high tech companies, with an excellent track record in launching new products, new companies, and new channels.  Recently as a founder and CEO of a successful non-profit, ALearn, to help underserved, first generation students get on the path to college, she recruited a Board and Advisory Board which helped the non-profit thrive and raised millions of dollars from individuals, corporations and foundations while succeeding in serving more than 12,000 students in math and college readiness.  Kathryn is passionate about education and learning, travel, sports, fitness and wellness – as well as leveling the playing field for all students to have the opportunities to follow their dreams to college and career. Kathryn earned a BA in English with Distinction from Stanford University, an MA and Ph.D. in English and American Literature from the University of Chicago and an MBA with Distinction from the Harvard Business School.
