DCP El Primero High School is a free, college prep, public charter school serving San Jose.

Founded in 1999 as the first charter school in Santa Clara County we opened our doors in Fall 2000 with a single mission: to prepare first-generation students for college success. In its early years, DCP was located in various buildings throughout downtown San José. Now, current years later, through the vision, dedication and sacrifice of students and families, we have secured a permanent home in the Alma neighborhood where our story first began.

DCP College Success Results

Jordan Apgar, Principal

Year joined DCP: 2012

"DCP is where students begin to see themselves as college-bound, as serious scholars, as young people who can have a positive impact on their communities. Witnessing these transformations year after year is why I love being a part of this work".
